Prop Rebuild Program

Pay at the time of drop-off, prop shipped directly to your door. Inspection of blades and hub for repairability; pitch and rake correction; blade resizing; rig welding up to 1/3 of any blade; cupping (if required); prop rebalancing. Stainless steel props are subject to additional charges.

  • Check prop for damage that could cause vibration
  • Verify that all electrical components operate
  • Add fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel varnish
  • Check water pump to ensure engine is being cooled properly
  • Check for fuel, oil, and exhaust leaks that could be a safety hazard
  • Test batteries to establish strength
  • Charge and disconnect battery to prevent battery drain
  • Grease prop shaft to ensure seals aren’t damaged and are debris free
  • Lube grease zirks
  • Flush cooling system to remove debris/contamination in cooling ports
  • Descale engine/outdrive to cut down build-up and decrease electrolysis
  • Paint lower unit to protect from corrosion damage

Price includes up to 5 quarts of OEM engine oil. There is an additional $134.95* charge for Fresh Water Systems and $119.95* for Ballast Systems. Volvo Penta requires: pull outdrive every 2 years, replace seawater impeller yearly (up to $325*) and replace U-joint bellows yearly ($410*) to follow warranty guidelines.

IF YOUR VOLVO ENGINE IS UNDER WARRANTY, VOLVO PENTA REQUIRES A PREMIUM WINTERIZATION TO MAINTAIN FULL COVERAGE.
