Buzz’s Way

• Check prop for damage that could cause vibration
• Verify that all electrical components operate
• Add fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel varnish
• Check water pump to ensure engine is being cooled properly
• Check for fuel, oil, and exhaust leaks that could be a safety hazard
• Test batteries to establish strength
• Charge and disconnect battery to prevent battery drain
• Grease prop shaft to ensure seals aren’t damaged and are debris free
• Lube grease zirks
• Flush cooling system to remove debris/contamination in cooling ports
• Descale engine/outdrive to cut down build-up and decrease electrolysis
• Paint lower unit to protect from corrosion damage
• Remove hull drain plug

• Change engine oil and filter to prevent lube breakdown

• Lubricate cylinder wall for corrosion prevention

• Drain and refill the gearcase to avoid lube breakdown and remove internal moisture

• Completely drain water from cooling system and replace with an envinronmentally safe anti-freeze (100 degrees below zero, bio-degradable). Doing so prevents freezing, cracking of components, and cuts down on rust and corrosion build-up.

• Removal of the outdrive to grease the universal joints, inspect the gimbal area including the gimbal bearing, check for leaks in all bellows and to ensure proper engine alignment.

• Install outdrive with new gaskets
